Musicals and Razors

I was walking to school today and noticed that the three guys walking in front of me all had on green. "Odd." I thought to myself. Then I realized it was Saint Patrick's day. Surprise surprise. I was wearing my signature maroon and black. Definitely not green. But don't worry. I didn't get pinched. Also, why do we do the pinching thing? It's so unpleasant. Why can't we pass out suckers, or toast? That would be so much more pleasant, don't you agree? Anyway, as I was walking around campus I realized that today is probably the closest I will ever get to fulfilling my dream of having my life be a musical. You know, with the subtle yet obvious color coordination of the cast (High School Musical red anyone?). AND on campus there was a random guy playing the violin and people doing some Irish River dancing in Brigham Square. You can't tell me that doesn't scream musical.

I have some other thoughts on things. What is up with women's razor commercials? Most men's commercials show them actually shaving, while women's typically show a woman in a body of water or under a waterfall. Okay, razor company, when will I EVER be shaving in the middle of a crystal clear lake/pool thing. Also, I don't know if any of you have noticed this, but they are literally shaving NOTHING. Those women's legs have not a hint of hair on them. They are very clearly waxed beforehand. I'm sorry, razor company, but how am I supposed to know if your razor actually works really well if I can't see the result? Show me a hairy leg, put some shaving cream on it (they never use shaving cream either..they straight up dry shave those waxed legs in the ads), and let me see how well your razor works. Rant over.

In other news, the weather is absolutely amazing. I can't believe what a mild winter it has been in Utah this year! It is March 17 and it was almost 80 degrees Fahrenheit today. It makes going to class difficult, but it makes riding my scooter to class extra fun. For my fellow college students. If you are debating a scooter/moped purchase, DO IT! It is the best. Premium parking on campus, filling up is cheap, and its just plain fun to ride.

Speaking of fun rides. In 4 days I'm blowing this Popsicle stand and flying down to Florida! I even bought a wicked awesome (that's still a phrase right?) fanny pack for the trip. I know you're jealous. Anyway, FLORIDA! Woot woot! *insert raise the roof arm pumps here* Prepare yourselves for lots of pictures if you follow me on social media, and tune back in for the best parts of the trip in about a week and a half!

Til next time!
