Just fore-warning. It's a b-e-a-UTIFUL Wednesday, so I thought I'd throw my thoughts down on my blog. My thoughts are random, but so am I...so it works :)
I'm adulting all over the place. This morning I woke up at 5am to finish an assignment that was due at the beginning of my 8am class. I completed it and was ready and out the door by 7:10. And not just ready, but ready as in actually presentable. My sweats were practically begging me to wear them today because it was freezing this morning, but I didn't succumb! I call that a mini success. Anyway, I was quite pleased with myself for being so productive this morning. I texted my mom about my new adult-hood accomplishment and she replied more enthusiastically than I could have hoped. (Thank you Mom for not being embarrassed that your 20-year-old daughter hardly ever leaves her house before 9 in the morning)
I am now the proud co-owner of a cute blue scooter! I've wanted one for a couple years now and it was definitely worth the wait! I love zipping around on that little thing.
Going along with that...much like my adorable little scooter, you know those things you buy that are just the best? You know, those really really GOOD purchases? Well today I was hardcore zoning out in my class whilst staring at my Contigo water bottle (let me just justify myself: this class starts at 8am and is THREE HOURS LONG...do you know how boring a 3 hour long management class can be?) when I thought about how great it is! I use that water bottle everyday. It holds 32 ounces, it's a cute teal color, it's fun to open and close...It's a good purchase. Some more of my better purchases have been my chacos (the best shoes ever..I've had my pair for 4 years now and they are practically good as new), and my $8 clearance water resistant teal Walmart Casio watch (I don't think you could find me WITHOUT this watch on. Try to..it won't work). Anyway, those "good purchases" make me happy.
ALSO! It feels like fall here in Utah!! I've been wondering where the fall weather has been, but today it arrived. It's the perfect amount of chilly and breezy (my favorite weather). It's sweater weather and I'm never going back!
Anyway, find a reason to smile today. :)
